Tissot Seastar Chronograph 1000 Announced

In anticipation of Basel in 2011, recently published pictures of Tissot and information about their new addition to the line Seastar. Named 1000 Seastar Chronograph This new model, it extends an almost mad 48mm wide and welcomes entry-level ETA C01.211. The C01.211 is generally in the Swatch chronographs and are a cheaper option than the venerable Seastar 1000 The 7750th ETA chronograph will be available with an optional finisher PVD to match color is blue / black or orange / black. Not to be confused with a fashion accessory, this new offering Tissot 300m water resistance, a helium escape valve and sapphire. While some combination of chic design and minimalist with respectable statistics Tissot makes this seems attractive, we can not help but wonder how the 48mm case and to negotiate the movement will be the effect of long-term popularity.
